Luckily, or unluckily depending on how you look at it, I’m still working so I’m not cooped up in the house all the time. However, I have had to cut down my hours quite a lot, and now I’ve had a couple of days off of work, I’m finding myself sitting here wondering what I can do. I can’t work from home like Boris is telling us to, so it leaves the question, what do I do when I’m not working?
As I’ve also got my social media accounts and blog to keep updated, I’ve been getting back into that, ranting about random stuff on my website and posting old photos and selfies on my Instagram. I’ve also restarted my Pinterest, and am going to start posting to Facebook again. I mean, the temptation to start a TikTok account is pretty prevalent, but I don’t think I really want to get roasted for it every two minutes so I’ll just make some videos and keep them in my drafts for a while until I pick up the courage to actually post them.
One thing this quarantine has made me do though, is start exercising again. I’ve noticed my strength has definitely downgraded and I haven’t got any stamina anymore, so I’m doing basic core exercises to get my abs back that I sadly lost. I’ll start running as well from Friday - I’ll try not to overdo it though. I think we’ve all got to start exercising at home really though in the midst of all this. Being cooped up at home doesn’t do any good for your mental health, and exercise is a good way to relieve that, hence why I’m feeling overly motivated to get fit again.
This has also got me thinking of new things I could learn to do or pick up again, but I’m at a lost as to what I could actually do really, so let me know if you’ve got any ideas. Whether that be social media related, something to do around the home or anything really. I need to find a new hobby really!
We should all try to do new things, learn a new skill or use this time to boost our own businesses whilst we can’t go out and meet anyone. Try and stay positive, keep in touch with people and reconnect with those who you haven’t had the time to talk to lately. I mean I’m always willing to have a good natter! - Liv x
