Trying to stick to normality

My dad came into my room the other day as I was doing my hair and makeup on one of my days off of work to ask me why I bother still getting ready when I’m not going anywhere. And my response was simply that Boris told us to maintain normality, so that was what I was doing. In a way though, he does have a very good point, both Boris and my Dad.

What’s the point in wasting time and products getting ready if no one’s going to see it. Well anyone who follows me on any social media knows that someone will see it because I have a slight addiction to the internet and taking selfies to post on my story, apologies! I find getting ready one way to relax too in the mornings, it also, funnily enough, makes me feel more productive and ready to get some work done even when I’m sat at home all day on my computer.

Boris’ point is that it helps maintain our mental health if we’re tricking our bodies into thinking it’s a normal day and that we’re still going to work. Personally, my mental health isn’t always great, but by still working normally and working on my modelling on my days off, I’m in a better place now than I was beforehand really. It’s funny how this quarantine is affecting people in different ways.

I guess the bottom line is, we’ve all got to try to stay productive during our days in, find new hobbies, revisit old ones, deep clean our house (which seems to be a very common thing) and just stay positive. A busy, healthy mindset is a happy mindset. - Liv x
