Last November me and Olly Woodburn went into Exeter to get some more Christmassy photos in Exeter’s Christmas market and Princesshay. The photos featured in this blog post are from Princesshay, where they have a large golden structure laden with fairy lights. It looks beautiful in the evenings and made for a great photo shoot location.
Olly contacted me through Instagram, where most of the people I work with contact me, and we met up in Exeter to take some more festive photos. I was really happy with how they turned out, and I’m glad I had the chance to go on a shoot with Olly.
Olly brought along some large glasses, which reflected the lights, and therefore made the photos look great. I’d love to do another photo shoot using the glasses just because I think they look really cool, especially with the fairy lights too. I also think the glasses would suit a library or coffee shop shoot.
The photos produced during this shoot did really well on my Instagram page, and these three are currently some of the most liked photos on my page. Personally I really love them and think they look quite artsy. Photos with fairy lights always seem to be more popular on Instagram anyway, so I’m sure that helped with the engagement on the posts.
